Celebrate Easter in Brixton!

Happy Easter from the team at Lowie! As we are based in Brixton, we thought we’d put together a guide to showcase some of the amazing things happening right on our doorstep. Even if you aren't local, we think these events are worth heading south of the river for!                                      

Thursday 24th March


No work tomorrow!! What better way to kick off the four-day weekend than dancing to some stone cold disco classics? The refurbished and newly opened Phonox (formerly Plan B) now hosts a regular Disco night every Thursday and we can’t wait to check it out. Incredible tunes guaranteed - all played through Phonox’s state of the art Funktion-One soundsystem.

 6pm – 3am / £5 before 11pm / £7 after 11pm

 Friday 25th March

 GET DIVERTED @ Prince of Wales

Get Diverted will be hosting the Easter Opening Weekend Party at the Prince of Wales – a stunning rooftop venue in the heart of Brixton that is home to a seriously amazing line up this weekend! Acid House and Hacienda legend A Guy Called Gerald will be joined by international superstar Mr C and underground favourite Radioactive Man, plus more Djs on the Ibiza style terrace if the weather holds – fingers crossed!

 5pm-5am / £12.50


Saturday 26th March

MAKE DO AND MEND @ Pop Brixton

Vintage lovers rejoice! Pop Brixton will be hosting a Make Do And Mend event this Saturday. A family friendly event, there will be vintage clothing stalls, a dizzying array of crafts and gifts and music from the Croydon Steel Orchestra. Pop Brixton has an incredible selection of food and drink stalls to choose from making this an ideal day out. And entry is free!


10-4.30pm / Free Entry

TREASURE HUNT @ Brixton Windmill

To celebrate the famous Brixton Windmill’s 200th Anniversary, there will be a treasure hunt that will take in 50 iconic Brixton locations. For teams of up to 5 people and a cash prize for the winners!! Get your detective hats on!

 £5 per adult / £3 12-18 years olds / kids go free


Sunday 27th March


Get down to the Ritzy this Sunday for a day of mask making!! There will be materials provided but feel free to bring ribbons, sequins, feathers or whatever else you fancy – get messy, get creative! Open to all, with DJs spinning tunes from 2-6pm.


GLOBAL RHYTHMS @ Pop Brixton and The Electric

A day to night event, Global Rhythms will be hosting an extraordinary line up starting at Pop Brixton with DJs, live music and a stunning selection of food and drink. Then head to The Electric to witness afrobeat legends Dele Sosimi Orchestra do their thing – they are truly incredible. All topped off with a DJ set from the wonderful Crazy P!
