Lowie - Crystal Palace,
Sunday 24th February 1:30pm-4:30pm
Make your own collaged fabric wall hanging with artist Clare Dudeney. Using a mixture of new and repurposed fabrics, ribbons and other trims provided, you will shape and piece together your own composition to create a wonderful work of art to take home with you.
What will you be doing?
Clare will talk you through colour theory and composition to help you plan your piece.
You will begin by sketching out some ideas on paper then selecting colours and fabrics to cut and fit together like a jigsaw. The art pieces will be fixed together using an iron-on artists’ adhesive, so no need for sewing!
We will provide a wooden bar & string to hang your piece or you may prefer to take the artwork home and frame it.
What should you bring?
Everything is provided including the Beva film which will seamlessly fix together your piece, but please do bring your own fabrics scraps or interesting materials.
What will be provided?
Beva Film adhesive, fabrics and trims,a wooden rod for hanging and a glass or two of prosecco!
What will you take home?
A vibrant and colourful small wall hanging or frame-able picture to brighten up your home.
